Signing in
You can sign in with Apple, Google or your email. With email, we send a 6-digit code; it can take a minute to arrive, so check your spam folder too.
Sharing a notebook
Open a notebook you own and tap invite. Each link lets one person in and lasts 7 days. Turn on “let them add notes too” if you want them to add notes, not just scribble on them. You can remove someone from the same screen.
Scribbling on a note
Open any note and write in the box at the bottom. To pin a scribble to some words, select them on the note first.
Something's not right
Tap any scribble to remove it (if it's yours, or you own the notebook) or to report it. We review reports and remove content that breaks the rules, and we can remove people who abuse the app. You can also leave any shared notebook from its ••• menu.
The widget
On iPhone and iPad (iOS 17 and up), add the Stubnote widget to your home screen or lock screen to start a new note in one tap.
